Malevolent Beings of Ikros

Goblins Race:  Goblin
Height:  3 - 4.5 feet
Intelligence:  Medium
Description:  Goblins are small, stealthy, greedy creatures.  Their favorite activity is stealing or making lesser creatures miserable, and they are very good at it.  They themselves are not very strong or powerful like their Orcish cousins, so fighting is usually second to running.  Goblins are almost never found alone, and if they are, they are up to something.  In numbers, Goblins are a force to fear, as a horde of them can cause great and terrible damage.

Goblin Mage Race:  Goblin Mage
Height:  3 - 4.5 feet
Intelligence:  Genius
Description:  Goblins Mages are the thinkers of the Goblin world. They spend most of their time learning new spells and commanding Goblin underlings, but will also never turn down the chance to join in on a fight, as long as the odds are in the Goblin's favor.  The magic the Goblin Mages use is primitive, and are usually not very powerful.  But like all Goblins, what they do well is what they do in numbers.  Several Goblin Mages firing off spells together is something even the bravest and most powerful of warriors will avoid.  But even when alone, the Goblin Mage is not something to take lightly.  Along with their ability to cast spells, Goblin Mages also cast spells very quickly, much faster than most any other race.

Orc Race:  Orc
Height:  5 - 6 feet
Intelligence:  Medium
Description:  Orcs are powerful, war driven creatures.  They fight for power, they fight for love, they fight for fun.  Killing any lesser creature entertains them, and killing any greater creature brings a tear of joy to their eyes.  Though they are usually found in groups of three or more, finding lone Orcs is not uncommon.  Orcs are similar to humans, but they are built much larger.  Orcs have incredible strength, and along with their incredibly tough armor-like skin, they rarely use shields or even armor to defend themselves.  Their hearing and sense of smell is also much stronger than that of humans, creating a major threat for the humans that might cross them.

Orc Champion Race:  Orc Champion
Height:  5.5 - 6.5 feet
Intelligence:  High
Description:  Orc Champions are a special breed of Orc, born and bred to be efficient killing machines.  They are taller, stronger, healthier looking than their subordinate cousins, though their senses are slightly dulled.  Due to their breeding and training, an Orc Champion on the battlefield is worth ten common Orcs.  But their true talent lies in their ability to lead and organize common Orcs, doubling the strength of a battalion on the battlefield.  Such Orc Champions are usually the primary target of any opposing force.

Orc Shaman Race:  Orc Shaman
Height:  5 - 6 feet
Intelligence:  Genius
Description:  Orc Shamans are venerable elder Orcs, their days of battle far behind them.  Wrinkled and discolored with age, these Orcs have become almost pacifistic when it comes to hand to hand combat, and will rarely ever lift a finger to defend themselves.  Orc Shamans, however, are also never seen without at least a few Orc or Orc Champions at their side to defend them.  No one is quite sure how an Orc reaches the level of Shaman, but it is obvious as to what they can do.  Orc Shamans are extremely intelligent, and can lead entire armies of Orcs with brilliant mastermind strategies.  Though these Shamans do not directly engage in battle, they are the few Orcs that have the ability to use magic, and their offensive and defensive spells are devastating to their opponents.

Troll Race:  Troll
Height:  10 - 12 feet
Intelligence:  Low
Description:  Trolls are powerful, slow moving creatures, who like the company of other evil races, but not particularly the company of their own kind.  They feel that they are stronger than any other race, and one of their own kind is just competition for their own role in the group.  Trolls aren't very intelligent, so they prefer to be told what to do rather than make their own decisions.  When food is involved, however, Trolls tend to act on their own.  Their huge, hulking bodies are extremely heavy, which only allows the troll to move in single direction, deliberate motions.  This lack of agility can be used against Trolls if they are found alone.

Histachii Race:  Histachii
Height:  5 - 5.5'
Intelligence:  Low
Description:  Histachii were all once human, transformed into their reptilian form by a powerful wizard.  It is said that the transformation is an extremely painful one, which explains the overly aggressive nature of the creatures.  In any case, most are used in defense of their masters, or as spies.  In rare occasions, Histachii have been known to attack individuals, presumably to act as an assassin to their master's will.  Due to their low intelligence, these creatures spook easily, but will always return if their master demands it.

Meynock Race:  Meynock
Height:  4 - 6 feet
Intelligence:  Low
Description:  Meynock are a desert dwelling version of demi-humans who long ago abandoned their humanity.  Their skin is very thing and sensitive, so it is usual to see them wrapped in linens and heavy robes to protect themselves.  Meynock live in small familial groups and usually hunt in small war parties.  A single Meynock is no threat to a human with any sort of weapon, but in packs they can be dangerous.  However, Meynock attacks are usually supply raids on unsuspecting desert caravans, and mindful travelers usually have no trouble with them.

Chaos Demon Race:  Chaos Demon
Height:  7 feet
Intelligence:  High
Description:  Chaos Demons are a recent addition to the recent troubles in Ikros.  During King Ulmerad's rule, demons that were sent out onto the land were only dangerous to those who encountered them directly.  This new breed of demon, however, is much different.  Along with their increased strength, speed, and magical abilities, these demons can also disappear from view, and only by magic can they be seen.  When they do reveal themselves, descriptions of them have varied widely.  Some were dressed as warriors, others as transients, but all of the accounts had one thing in common.  The faces of the Chaos Demons were ablaze in fire, or perhaps more accurately, were made of fire.  It seems one particularly deadly power of the Chaos Demons is their pyrokinesis, or the ability to create and control fire at will, as was stated by the fortunate few to remain alive after an attack.
