Myllia and a Chaos Demon slowly approached the great Storm Crow citadel cautiously, creeping between the small trees and shrubs that surrounded it and the river that flowed by.  The mid day sun was showing brightly now, and while it would be wiser to wait for the cover of night, Myllia did not have the time to do so.  It was here that Myllia had tracked down her prize, the Gem Dagger.  Kaale had given her the task of retrieving it, and she had no intention of disappointing him, though she did not understand quite what their master wanted with the Gem items.
Near the old northern border of Ikros from King Ulmerad’s rule lies the small town of Stonebarrow, only a few miles from the now holy place where Princess Kiana lost her life so many years ago.  Guarding the town, where so many now visit annually to pay their respects, is Stonebarrow Keep, seat of power of the Storm Crow Knights, Ikros’ elite soldiers.  The stronghold was built during King Ulmerad’s rule and charged with the task of safeguarding the North Lands.  Not only are local criminals sent here to either spend their sentence or await their tribunal in the Capital, but the Keep is also home to some of the more valuable treasures found by adventurers loyal to Ikros.

“Wait here,” Myllia commanded the Chaos Demon that had accompanied her, “I will signal you if I need you.”  The demon slowly nodded and then started to vanish from sight, blending into the surrounding underbrush.
The woman then waved her wand slowly above her head and soon she, too, began to fade from view.  While her invisibility was not as perfect as her companion’s, if she didn’t move it would be very hard for anyone to see her.  Only a faint shimmer gave her away in the sunligh

Quietly, she began walking up the path that lead up to the great keep.  A soldier marched by her, not showing any sign of being aware of her presence.  Myllia smiled and held out her staff, tripping the soldier.  The man fell forward, throwing his weapons before him in order to catch his fall.  A few nearby soldiers began laughing loudly at seeing the man’s misfortune.  Myllia did her best not to join in.
