There is a lot that goes into making a project as large as
The Kingdom of Ikros. This section will scratch at the surface of just
what goes on behind the scenes here in the land of make believe.
Location Production
Movies and stories just wouldn't be great if they were shot
on a blank stage. Great sets and scenery add depth, emotion, and set
the mood for the upcoming action. The Kingdom of Ikros is no exception.
Here are three pictures of some of the sets used in Chapter 4, Noble
Words, of Ikros: Chaos Skies. You'll notice that even though two of
these sets are supposed to be of a large forest, the actual sets are very
small, and in fact have re-used parts. Yes, nothing goes to waste in
Ikros, well, almost nothing.
Concerning Pictures
So how does Anthony decide what shots go where? Well,
first he writes out the script. After printing, and usually somewhere
in the editing process, pictures are assigned on the pages next to the paragraphs
where they will be placed. Here are scans of the last three pages to
Chapter 4, Noble Words, of Ikros: Chaos Skies.
Deleted Scenes
They're not all winners. Sometimes certain pictures,
or even entire pages of a chapter are removed so as not to harm the story
as a whole. Here is a scene that was deleted from the original
Chronicles of Ikros
.
