Name: Queen Allamir
Age: 48
Height: 5'6"
Status: Queen of Ikros
Background: Born into a family working for King Ulmerad, she grew up sheltered and separated from the violence of the kingdom. When she was 17 she and her family embarked on a trip west to visit family, but on the way they were attacked a roving band of barbarians, left over from the invasion. Upon hearing of their capture, Ulmerad himself lead a group of knights out to rescue them. Ulmerad tried his best to comfort the distraught women, and after the safe return to the castle, Allamir and the king eventually became close. Her 19 birthday saw her marriage to the king and her coronation as queen. Ever since, Allamir never leaves her husband's side, except when he leaves the castle on military campaigns. At age 30, after many unsuccessful attempts, she was blessed with a child.
Character: Allamir is a happy and loving person, and a dedicated wife and mother. As a queen she is a very competent ruler, and has on many occasions taken over in Ulmerad's absence. She is always afraid of losing her husband to the necromancer's forces, but she knows that what must be done, must be done. That also doesn't stop her from convincing Ulmerad to send someone else to lead his knights against the Horde.

Name: Princess Alyia
Age: 18
Height: 5'6"
Status: Princess of Ikros
Background: Alyia has spent most of her life within the city walls of the capitol, and, to her dismay, has lead a very quiet life. She has caught the eye of the young Knight Garalt, and the two have been spending much time together in secret. She hopes that one day he will take her away and show her the world.
Character: Young and full of life, Alyia loves every new experience. She has never been content with her sheltered life, and tries to escape from it at every moment possible.

Name: Leena
Age: 23
Height: 5'6"
Status: Lady in Waiting to Princess Alyia
Background: Chosen by the King and Queen to look after the ambitious Princess, she usually fulfills her assignment. Leena and Princess Alyia have become close friends, but her obligation to the royal family usually gets in the way.
Character: Easily frustrated, Alyia's constant need for excitement usually lead Leena into places and predicaments that she would much rather avoid. Her constant dealings with the Princess, however, usually does allow her to control Alyia to some extent.

Name: Aguar
Age: 53
Height: 5'10"
Status: Ambassador of Ikros Kingdom
Background: Aguar spent most of his life working and dealing with high officials in the capitol, and was chosen by Ulmerad for his experience. He has spent most of his ambassadorship in the lands to the west, but has since been called back due to the rise of Ethelred.
Character: Aguar is soft spoken and patient, mixed with his silver tongue, he's a dangerous man on the bargaining table. Always the gentleman, he will throw his glove down to defend his honor any hour of the day. He'll never turn down the opportunity for a good sword fight.

Name: Mala
Age: ?
Height: 5'4"
Status: Healer
Background: Mala is a very secretive woman about her past. However, she will welcome any traveler into her home if he seeks healing. She is well known around Kahlan for her healing powers, as well as the local children who spend many an afternoon at her humble cottage.
Character: Mala is a kind and gentle soul, and is a powerful sorceress and healer. It is rumored that her powers surpass those of most of the mage clans of Kahlan combined. Eye witeness have seen Xanath entering her cottage and staying for hours, apparently discussing spells and incantations.

Name: Headmaster Gibben
Age: 43
Height: 5'9"
Status: Headmaster of Corincia Training Academy
Background: Gibben grew up in a relatively well off family, and eventually made his way to the Corincia Academy. After training hard and becoming a skilled swordsman, he went out and made his fortune as a mercenary. After becoming comfortably wealthy himself, Gibben settled down in Corincia and began training students at the academy. Soon he rose in ranks up to Headmaster and has been overseeing the training of hundreds of young men and women ever since.
Character: Perhaps his greatest weakness, Gibben lacks any sort of sense of humor. Many who have delt with him, including King Ulmerad himself have found themselves feeling very awkward around him. But his skills as trainer of top quality men have given him prestige all over Kahlan and baronship in Ikros.

Name: Emperor Shau
Age: 46
Height: 5'6:"
Status: High ruler of all Laquos
Background: Born into the royal family of Laquos, Shau inherited the throne when he was 30. He has been witness to great advancement for his country, including the discovery of gunpowder. Under his rule, Laquos has become the most advanced kingdom in Kahlan.
Character: Incredibly intelligent, but equally impatient, Shau realizes his short comings and attempts to over come them. He is also very strong willed, and will not shake from his belief that Laquos should keep its isolationistic ways.

Name: King Viriliab
Age: 67
Height: 6'1"
Status: High ruler of all Valk
Background: After inheriting a proud country losing an old war from his father, Viriliab finally buckled under his warriors constant defeats. The process of rebuilding his nation after three generations of war have left him drained and tired. With no heirs to his thrown, he fears a civil war upon his upcoming death.
Character: Viriliab is very proud, and very stubborn. Although he now holds no ill will towards Ikros for his kingdom's defeat, any mention of it will drive him into a wild frenzy.

Name: Ollan, the boy King
Age: 14
Height: 5'3"
Status: High ruler of all Conalia
Background: Ollan has not been King long, for it was only 2 years ago that Ethelred's undead Horde murdered all but one member of his neighbors royal family. In fact, most of the royal court were all murdered, leaving only Ollan and a handful of advisors to fend for themselves.
Character: Dreadfully inexperienced for his title, Ollan is unsure of everything he does. Riddled with doubt, he has been a poor king at best, and he knows it. Fortunately, with the aid of Ulmerad, he has gained some of his lost confidence.

Name: King Egostice
Age: 32
Height: 5'9"
Status: High ruler of all Miedle
Background: Egostice came into power under mysterious circumstances. Some say that Egostice' father was poisoned by his own son. In any case, Egostice has proven himself a very poor ruler. His decisions and proclamations have not only hurt his own kingdom, but have hurt the economies of the surrounding countries.
Character: Egostice cares very little for his country or the people who dwell within. His only inspiration is gold and how he can increase his personal supply of it.
