About the Dragon

The Wings

The dragon's wings are massive, feathery limbs.  The four 'feathers' at the end of the wing swivel back and forth.  The 'feathers' have 1x1 round plates on them in strategic places that prevent the wings from overlapping each other too much, since they are one plate above the other.

This allows the dragon to fold her wings more realistically, as well giving a more impressive wingspan.

Here is a view of the underside of the wings as well as a better illustration on how the four 'feathers' attach to the wing.  They are sandwiched between two plates that stick out from the main wing arm.  On either side of the 'feathers' is a 2x2 turntable.

The wings are made up of sandwiched 1xX and 2xX plates, giving the arms great strength.  The wing arms are attached to each other by 1x4 plate hinges, allowing the wing to fold against the body.  The wing itself attaches to the body of the dragon by means of a 2x4 brick with technic pins on either end, allowing for vertical wing movement.  Sandwiched plates in between the plate hinges attached the wing to the brick.  The 'feathers' on the small arm piece fold down allowing for the wing to fold even closer to the body.
