Before long, a man on a cart pulled up on the corner of the main street.
Garalt looked at the man, then started walking towards him.
"You looking for two strangers?" asked Garalt.
"You need something fixed?" questioned the man.
With that, the two men climbed onto the cart, and headed off through the streets.

The guard at the gate looked at Garalt and Drakon as the cart passed through the small gatehouse.
Garalt smiled back at the Guard.
Drakon looked back at the city wall as the cart pushed on towards the forest.
"Friendly bunch aren't they!" exclaimed Drakon.
"They have just forgotten the old ways," said Garalt.

The man driving the cart smiled to himself.
"So, you off to see Taliesin?" asked the driver.
"Who is this Taliesin?" questioned Garalt.
"You'll see soon enough," answered the man.
With that, he shook the reins and the horse broke into a gallop.

Even though it was midday, the forest was dark under the canopy of leaves.
Shafts of light breaking through were the only reminder of daytime.
The horse and cart moved swiftly along the trail.
"Why are we traveling so fast through here?" yelled Drakon.
"The quicker we get through here, the better," answered the driver.

Drakon and Garalt looked deep into the forest, and noticed things moving.
"What's in there then?" yelled Drakon.
The driver ignored him and concentrated on getting them through the forest.
Drakon and Garalt were getting thrown around a bit in the back of the cart.
Suddenly, they saw something dart out of the forest behind the cart.
The figure darted across the road and behind a tree.

"What was that?" yelled Drakon.
Just then, a strange creature jumped onto the back of the cart.
It was strange looking.. pointy ears... and very short.
The creature snarled at them, and started yelling in some strange language.

Garalt, shocked with what he saw, kicked out his leg, sending the creature tumbling off the cart onto the dirt.
Up ahead, they could see the bright sunlight shining onto the trail.
Galloping at full speed, the horse pulled the cart out of the forest as quick as it could.
"Steady girl... steady," the driver screamed at the horse.
He pulled on the reins, slowing he horse to a trot.

Looking back at the forest, the men could see the creature waving its stick in the air.
"What was that?" questioned Garalt.
"That was an Orax!" exclaimed the driver.
Drakon looked at Garalt.
"He must have sensed you believe in the old ways, most people 'round here don't," said the driver.
"Oh," said Garlat puzzled.
"You see, the more people that don't believe in the old ways, the gap grows bigger. The creatures of the Old World have become so used to people not believing in them, that when someone comes along who does, it worries them and they get defensive," the driver said.

With that, the party continued on their way across the fields.
But before long, they came across another forest.
Drakon and Garalt braced them selves again.
The driver seeing this laughed and told them not to worry.
"We are entering Taliesin's home,." said the driver.
'He lives in a forest?" asked Garalt sarcastically.
"What were you expecting, a grand castle?" answered the driver.
