War's End
an illustrated tale
page 3

A unified gasp from the crowd came as the Prince began to fall back in his saddle.  Kullvox' lance had knocked the Prince back, and now he was falling.  The crowd exploded in cheers at the sight, rising to their feet.  The knight left his saddle, and rolled off the side of his horse, landing upon the railing and then onto the ground.  Kullvox slowly turned and trot his horse to face the fallen warrior.

Kullvox slowly lowered his lance until it pointed close to the Prince's helmet.  The crowd slowly died down to a hush at the scene.
"Do you yield?" Kullvox asked sternly.
The crowd awaited eagerly for the answer from the fallen Prince, but no answer came.
"Do you yield, Knight?" Kullvox demanded.

Suddenly the Prince grabbed Kullvox' lance and pulled on it with all his weight.  Kullvox was so surprised by this move that he did not let go of his lance in time, and was yanked off of his horse.  The crowd once again erupted in cheers at the actions of the two.
