Garalt wasted no time.  After seeing Greylen disappear before him, Villious was totally dazed.  Garalt charged the armored knight with axe in hand and attacked the only vulnerable spot in the knight's heavy armor.  Garalt's axe fit just inside the open space in Villious' helmet where his visor would normally have covered, and in one stroke Garalt took the man down.  As if in slow motion, Garalt turned to see the crossbow of  Wiltig Balvanz begin to rise to point at him.  Xirin and his throwing axes were also beginning to make ready for the kill.

    On the other hand, Drakon and Kullvox and Golan were now charging Timult and Arg Balvanz, as well as Brockram behind them.  Alyia was running straight towards her father, and Demonclaw held back to shield her from the charging traitors.  As he lead her to safety, Drakon and Kullvox made their first contact with the knights.  Golan, on the other hand, began to run around the two charging knights and toward Brockram.

    Suddenly Wiltig Balvanz fell.  Garalt looked up at the knight and saw Swift-Strike's axe sticking deep in the man's throat.  By this time, Garalt had recovered his axe from Villious, but Xirin was getting very close.  Sir Hillsbrad pushed Garalt out of the way just as one of Xirin's axes flew by.
